Making BOLD Moves
There comes a time in our lives where we can no longer get away with being a victim. At some point we have to stop allowing life to happen to us, in, fact we must happen to life—living our lives, deliberately, on purpose, with purpose.
I’m at that place in my life where, I’m not interested in excuses, especially my own. Of course, life has a way of tripping us up, even crippling us in certain areas. Certain things that happen literally take the wind out of us. When you fall it’s not always easy to get back up again. But even if it takes longer to get back on your feet, that’s okay, just keep getting up.
The thing about set backs is that they can often make us timid, less likely to be forthcoming and courageous. It’s like having a broken heart. Once it’s been broken it’s really hard to hope for the ultimate romance, or to trust again. While there is wisdom in taking things slow after a great fall, we must be careful not to allow hesitance to hinder us. I once heard someone say that when you do things that you’re afraid to do, that’s exactly what you need to do to help you grow.
My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says: Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths. If we will trust God to direct our paths then we can move forward with confidence and clarity that everything that we need, and desire will work out for our good. We can take action steps towards our goal without fear.
If you’re going to start a new business, relationship, or venture; Go for it completely. No more half–stepping. Be bold and very courageous!
